Therapeutic Massage Therapy
Alex Gibson
Alex combines a number of different techniques to create a uniquely therapeutic massage.
Alex is happy to focus with remedial techniques on specific injuries or problem areas but can also provide a profoundly relaxing and stress-busting massage. Often treatments fall somewhere between the two ends of the spectrum!
She has undertaken training in holistic massage, Indian head massage (Champissage), pregnancy massage and sports & remedial massage. Remedial massage techniques include soft tissue release, deep tissue massage, muscle energy techniques, neuromuscular techniques, triggerpoint release, myofascial release and positional release.
This is what some of her clients have had to say about her treatments:
'..refreshingly gentle for such a deep massage. Alex is patient and intuitive and as a therapist having a treatment from her is as close to being able to massage myself as she just knows what my body needs' Amy
'..it felt like you were really listening to my body' Laurence
'I couldn't have got through it without you' Matt, after completing his first Triathlon
Alex practices on Thursdays from 1.30pm to 6.30pm.
Later appointments are also sometimes available.
£35 for 30 minutes
£60 for 1 hour
£85 90 minutes

I remember my mother healing my colds with herbs and chest massages. I see bodywork as more than a therapy, in my view; it is a way of life. I am happy to encourage or help people understand their bodies in a unique and holistic way," Laurence
