Helen is a highly experienced sports physiotherapist. She is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries. She uses manual and manipulative therapy, acupuncture and specific rehabilitation to get people better.

Helen lived and worked in the mountain town of Whistler, a venue for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. In addition to treating the professional athletes that lived and trained there she worked for the Vancouver 2010 Games and is the Canadian Snowboard Team physiotherapist.

She has a wealth of experience from treating and working with athletes and clients of ALL abilities to achieve THEIR own goals. She uses manual and manipulative therapy alongside soft tissue techniques to relieve pain and stiffness, improve flexibility and release tension. She then focuses on progressive control and strengthening exercises throughout rehabilitation in order for the client to achieve their target and recover fully.

Helen believes that educating her clients and helping them understand the nature of their problems or injuries is the MOST important part of treatment. Delivering a tailored recovery programme is key to a successful outcome. The client then knows and understands what is necessary and why.

Helen studied Physiotherapy at Salford University, graduating in 2004, after studying Human Movement Science at Liverpool University. She worked at Whistler Physiotherapy Creekside before moving back to the UK early in 2011. She is a member of the Health Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
